Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh pair up for Atlee’s action extravaganza #VD18, filming begins in August: Report

At present, Varun Dhawan is basking the success of his role as, Ajju Bhaiya, in the recently released movie Bawaal, which was directed by Nitesh Tiwari. This film has managed to captivate both audiences and critics, and it is reportedly performing well on Amazon Prime Video. However, the success is only fuelling Varun's passion further, as he sets his sights on his next venture, an action-packed extravaganza codenamed #VD18, which is produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani. According to reports, the actor is all set to kick off shooting the film during the second week of August.

According to a report from PinkVilla, Varun Dhawan is all set to commence shooting for his next action-packed movie, referred to as #VD18, during the second week of August. A source close to the project told the publication, “The shooting timelines are locked, and they start with a 15-day schedule in a Mumbai studio. South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh, who makes her long-cherished Bollywood debut with this film, will also join Varun in the first schedule. They are expected to film some romantic and dramatic scenes together. This prolusion stint will be followed by an action-packed schedule where Varun will be seen performing some very stylish and larger-than-life action sequences.” Additionally, the report also states that the film's producers are committed to completing its production by the end of November, with the aim of scheduling a theatrical premiere in May 2024.

As for Atlee, he is currently engrossed in his much-awaited Hindi film Jawan. The film marks his debut in the Hindi film industry and promises never-seen-before avatars of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The recently released prevue has already sparked excitement among movie-goers nationwide, with electrifying moments building anticipation for the movie’s release.
