Gadar 2 has set a record for minting one of the fastest Rs. 450 crores and has also become the third highest-grossing film in the history of Indian Cinema. Owing to the tremendous and unceasing love of fans for Sunny Deol, the film continues to see demand in cinemas. Senior Trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently talked about the comeback of Deol and how the movie is a huge win for him.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama recently, Taran said that this year has seen a huge comeback of many big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and now Sunny Deol. Even from July 2023 onwards, he said that the box office is continuously winning. Talking about Gadar 2, he said, “Now that Sunny Deol is back with a film, he has not hit a four but a sixer and the ball has gone out of the boundary. Today, Sunny Deol, Anil Sharma – it is so important for these people, who ruled at a time, to come back and stay on the crease and perhaps, deliver more jubilees and successes. “
He added, “It is an out-n-out Sunny Deol film. Utkarsh has a good role; I won’t deny it. He has a parallel track which is simultaneously running in the film. But, the film is of Sunny Deol. Aaj jab woh hand pump bhi ukhadte hai toh log yakeen karte hai (Today, when he uproots a handpump, people believe him).”
Helmed by Director-Producer Anil Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles.
