#AskSRK: Fan asks Shah Rukh Khan about ‘fake’ collections of Jawan, the superstar replies

Shah Rukh Khan has had two films this year in the form of Pathaan and Jawan and both have had a dream run at the box office. Pathaan, which released at the start of the year in January, became the highest grossing Bollywood movie. Jawan, which came out in August, broke that record and has so far earned Rs. 573.51 crores in India. But that’s not all. It’s worldwide number currently stands at a mammoth Rs. 1017.66 crores.

But, like a lot of successful films of today’s times, there are people on social media who express their doubts at such humongous numbers. This was pointed out to SRK during his latest #AskSRK session on X (formerly known as Twitter). A fan asked him, “@iamsrk What about fake collection numbers of Jawaan? So many news that produces are spreading fake collection numbers.”

Surprisingly, Khan decided to answer the question. He gave a funny reply saying, “Chupp baith aur ginta reh…bas!!! Don’t get distracted in counting!!! #Jawan.”

During the same session, SRK surprised everyone also when he took a dig at his unsuccessful film Zero (2018), after which he took a sabbatical from films.

Directed by Atlee and produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, among others.

Khan will next be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film will clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar on December 22.
