Sunny Deol is riding high on the grand success of Gadar 2, which had him reprise the role of Tara Singh. The actor has currently taken off to Goa to attend the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2023), where he was seen interacting with the audience. During the same, the actor recreated a beautiful moment of sorts, as he cited one of his most famous dialogues from the iconic film Damini, co-starring Meenakshi Seshadri.
In a video which we found from IFFI 2023, Sunny Deol was seen reciting his dialogue of ‘dhai kilo ka haath’ which left audiences enthralled as a loud cheer erupted in the auditorium. The dialogue was, “Yeh dhai kilo ka haath jab utha hai toh aadmi utha nahi, utt jaata hai.” The audience clapped with a loud cheer as the actor ended the famous dialogue.

For the unversed, the dialogue is from the film Damini wherein Sunny Deol essayed the character of a lawyer. The film garnered immense appreciation with the actor even receiving a National Award as well as a Filmfare for Best Supporting Actor in the same year. Another iconic dialogue of the actor from the film was, “Tareek pe tareek, tareek pe tareek” which was also said by Sunny.
The film features him as a no-nonsense alcoholic lawyer who decides to take up the case of a helpless woman Damini (played by Meenakshi Seshadri), who is a prime eyewitness to a rape case and decides to fight the case with her in court. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the 1993 crime drama also featured the late Rishi Kapoor, late Amrish Puri, Rohini Hattangadi, among others in pivotal roles.
