Dinesh Karthik picks Ranbir Kapoor as perfect choice for Virat Kohli’s biopic role

Several biopics about renowned Indian sports stars have previously been produced, including MS Dhoni, Mary Kom, Milkha Singh, and Paan Singh Tomar. Kartik Aaryan recently starred in the biographical sports drama Chandu Champion, which recounts Murlikant Petkar's life and hardships as India's first Paralympic gold champion. Dinesh Karthik, an Indian cricketer, makes a recommendation that which Bollywood actor would be ideal to play Viral Kohli in his biopic.

Dinesh Karthik recently participated in a Cricbuzz video talking about India's forthcoming Super 8 campaign at the T20 World Cup. He also expressed his opinion on biopics of some of his teammates. When asked which actor would best depict Virat Kohli in a biopic, Karthik recommended Ranbir Kapoor, expressing faith in Kapoor's ability to recreate Kohli's playing style despite having never seen him play cricket. "Ranbir Kapoor will do a good job," he stated. Karthik believes Akshay Kumar is the ideal choice for Shikhar Dhawan, citing their close relationship and predicting Kumar will bring a lot of fun to the character. Regarding Suryakumar Yadav, Karthik suggested Paresh Rawal or Suniel Shetty, citing their humorous timing as a good match for Yadav's personality.

Next came Hardik Pandya, and Karthik believed that only Ranveer Singh could equal his flair. Yuzvendra Chahal thinks Rajpal Yadav would be ideal. For Jasprit Bumrah, Karthik recommended Rajkummar Rao. He also suggested that Vijay Sethupathi would be an excellent choice for Rohit Sharma's biopic, citing Sethupathi's capacity to be both comedic and serious. Dinesh continued by noting that many people think he resembles Vikrant Massey, who may play him in a biopic.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is enjoying the success of Animal, which also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film has received an incredible response from the audience. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War in the works. Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt will also play significant roles in the film, which was announced in January of this year. It is scheduled to open in theaters on Christmas Day 2025.
