Anant Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, married Radhika Merchant earlier this year. A few months later, Nita Ambani, chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, officially welcomed her daughter-in-law at Reliance Industries' annual general meeting.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's extravagant pre-wedding celebrations began in Jamnagar, where Anant Ambani's animal welfare venture, Vantara, a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center spanning 3,500 acres, is located.
Nita Ambani reflected on this during her statement at the 47th Reliance AGM, noting that Jamnagar is the birthplace of Anant's grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, and the workplace of his late grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani. She also expressed her joy in seeing her son Anant make Jamnagar his "seva bhoomi" (place of service).
She congratulated her daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant on joining the Reliance family. She conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for showering the newlywed pair with blessings and best wishes.
Nita Ambani said, “This year, with the grace of our devis and devatas, Anant embarked on a lifelong journey of togetherness with his soulmate Radhika. With open arms and hearts full of love, we welcome Radhika into our Reliance family.”
She further added, “Your blessings have made Anant and Radhika’s married life more beautiful and auspicious.”
Notably, during a special speech during the wedding, Nita welcomed the guests with a heartfelt message to the newlyweds. She previously stated, “At this moment, I’m overwhelmed with emotions of joy, gratitude and deep devotion as I watch these two pieces of my heart, Anant and Radhika, unite in this eternal bond.”
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant started their wedding festivities in Jamnagar in March of this year. The pre-wedding festivities ended with their final wedding on July 12. Several prominent figures from throughout the world attended the unique celebration.
Even after their wedding and three celebrations, the couple flew back to Jamnagar. They later travelled to Paris for the Olympics, followed by honeymoon in Costa Rica and Panama.
