The much-awaited Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role finally had its worldwide theatres last Friday on 25th February 2022. Owing to the pandemic, the film's release schedule was repeatedly delayed, however, the buzz and excitement around the film never faded.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is being hailed as a masterpiece by Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for presenting stories on a grand scale and is also being touted as Alia Bhatt's career-best performance.
Currently, the film is doing quite well at the box office and is being praised by the audiences and critics alike. Also, social media is filled with people's positive reactions toward the film. Ahead of its release, the team of the film hosted a special screening for the B-Town celebrities. The screening was a star-studded event and many took to their social media handles to appreciate it.
Alia's sister Pooja Bhatt who was present at the screening also took to her Twitter handle to applaud the film.
