Released in 2018, Stree starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor was one of the well-performed films of the year. The ending of the Amar Kaushik directorial hinted at a sequel, and later, the makers confirmed it as well, which delighted a section of moviegoers. In fact, the release date of Stree 2 has been already announced. As per the latest buzz, the stars, Shraddha and Rajkummar, have also started working on the film.
Readers may recall that on Friday, filmmaker Amar Kaushik had shared a post on his social media handle. The two-photo post featured Shraddha Kapoor. Meanwhile, “Ohh Stree Kal Aana,” was written on the wall behind Shraddha. Now, days after this, Rajkummar Rao has teased fans.
On Monday evening, Rao took to his Instagram handle and dropped a selfie, in which he can be seen posing with Shraddha. Without giving much details, he wrote, “What will happen when we meet again #स्त्री and #पुरुष।”
Fans were quick to react to the post as it garnered thousands of likes and comments within an hour of being uploaded. It has created buzz among their fans and followers.
For the unversed, Jio Studios held a grand event and Stree 2 was announced during the same. Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi appeared on stage and raised laughs with their antics. Stree 2 will be released on August 31, 2024.
