Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari: Janhvi Kapoor set to surprise fans with her comic side, reveals director Shashank Khaitan

After winning hearts with her performance in Param Sundari, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to charm audiences once again with her upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The trailer of the much-awaited movie dropped today, offering a first glimpse of Janhvi’s new avatar as the spirited Tulsi Kumari.

Director Shashank Khaitan, who first worked with Janhvi on her debut film Dhadak, spoke highly of the actress at the trailer launch. He revealed that working with her again after several years was a delight and emphasized how she has grown immensely as an actor. Khaitan highlighted that this film allowed Janhvi to explore a genre she hasn’t tackled before—outright comedy.

Khaitan said that audiences will be surprised by Janhvi’s hidden comic talent and natural commercial appeal. He explained, “I worked with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time in her debut film Dhadak, and after so many years, we got a chance to work in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. She had a lot of experience, and also this genre is something which she has not done before, and when people see the film, they will realise the comic side she has, the commercial appeal, and it takes time to come out. I was really impressed by that. We have rehearsed a lot. There is a saying that comedy films or films of this genre don't require rehearsal, but in fact, this demands more rehearsal to bring the perfect timing.”

The trailer showcases Janhvi Kapoor’s sparkling chemistry with Varun Dhawan and teases an energetic, larger-than-life character that promises to reveal a new side of the actress to the audience. Fans can expect a blend of humor, charm, and entertainment as Tulsi Kumari brings her unique flair to the big screen.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has a busy line-up ahead. She will be seen in Homebound, which is already garnering accolades at the International Film Festival, and Peddi, where she will share screen space with Ram Charan.

Meanwhile, talking about Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, the film marks her second outing with Varun Dhawan after Bawaal and it also stars Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra in key roles. It is slated to release on October 2.
