Followed by the success of Pavitra Rishta and later her film debut in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Ankita Lokhande won hearts as the contestant of Bigg Boss 17. The actress was a part of the show along with her husband Vicky Jain and now the duo have participated in another reality show – Laughter Chef Challenge. Meanwhile, in their personal life, the couple are busy with Ganpati celebrations at their residence and unlike many, they have welcomed Goddess Gauri amid the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.
For the unversed, Goddess Gauri is the mother of Lord Ganesha, and her arrival marks the fifth day of the Ganpati celebrations. It signifies her love for her son as she is keen on taking him back to her world. Hence, the Gauri Ganpati visarjan is held on the sixth day of the festivities. While there are very few celebs who follow this ritual, Ankita Lokhande is one of them and she was recently seen celebrating the same with her husband Vicky Jain and the rest of their family.

Ankita took to social media to share photos of her dressed as a quintessential Maharashtrian in a traditional lilac-blue saree with golden border and temple jewellery whereas her husband Vicky Jain posed in casuals. The actress and her husband were not only seen hosting the guests during the celebration but they also performed the pooja and aarti. Ankita also took cute photos with her mother-in-law as well as their pet. Sharing these on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Celebrating Gauri Ganpati <3” She also expressed gratitude towards the team who styled her for the special pooja.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Ankita Lokhande was last seen in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. Speaking about her other upcoming ventures, the actress is yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.
