Manoj Bajpayee praises Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari co-star Diljit Dosanjh; says, “He is a gem of a person”

As the re-release of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari approaches, Manoj Bajpayee reflects on the film’s delightful journey and his camaraderie with the cast and crew. Set to hit cinemas again this month, this Zee Studios comedy has remained a fan favorite for its unique storyline and performances. Ahead of the release, Manoj shared some heartfelt insights on working alongside international singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, and the rest of the cast.

Recalling his experience of shooting with Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee said, "Diljit is a gem of a person despite having achieved so much at such a young age; he is really very grounded.” He insisted to share how the film has been an unforgettable journey and added, "I have had one of the best shooting experiences while filming Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.”

“Fatima has had such an amazing journey, she has become a good friend. And it's always a delight working with Seema and Manoj Pahwa, we go a long way. I remember annoying Annu Sir (Annu Kapoor) by singing the wrong lyrics, but we got along very well", he added sharing his memories with the rest of the cast.

On collaborating with director Abhishek Sharma and Zee Studios, Bajpayee stated, "I really loved working with Abhishek. It was very heartwarming, and I am definitely looking forward to collaborating with him in the future." He continued, "Zee Studios has become home for me, and it all started with Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. I have put myself out there exploring various characters in the film and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I hope that audiences shall enjoy seeing a different side of me in the film."

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language satire comedy featuring Manoj Bajpayee as a detective and Diljit as a son of a wealthy businessman with the two constantly at loggerheads with each other over a misunderstanding. The re-release of this entertaining drama was planned after the film failed to garner audience due to the pandemic. Audiences can now mark their calendars for October 18 as it’s time to experience the magic of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari all over again.
