"Anil Kapoor has hair everywhere on his body, except in his nails and teeth; I was told, "'Ganje log ki kismat acchi hoti hai. Look at Yash Chopra'" - Boney Kapoor

Boney Kapoor was in his element as he attended an event on December 19 held to promote Eugenix Hair Sciences, a popular hair transplant clinic. Boney got his hair transplant done and he wanted to share with the media about his pleasurable experience and how his life changed after the procedure. The surprise guest at the event was Anees Bazmee of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024), Welcome (2007) and No Entry (2005) fame. He was so motivated by Boney’s transformation that he also got a hair transplant done just three days before this event. As a result, his head was covered with a bandana.

Boney Kapoor began by saying, “Dr Pradeep Sethi is really a jadugar. He was behind me for three years. He would show me before-and-after pictures of multiple people who underwent a transplant. Once, he called me to his farmhouse. Wahan maine ajeeb foreigners ko dekha. They had undergone the procedure. I was amazed. The doc told me, ‘70% of my patients are from outside India’. He further said, ‘That’s why I want to get your transplant done. I want to see you have better hair than your brother Anil or at least as good as his hair’! I replied, ‘I challenge you. Yeh nahin ho sakta’. This is because Anil’s hair is intact even today. He has hair everywhere on his body, except in his nails and teeth (laughs).”

Boney continued, “Some people used to tell me, ‘Ganje log ki kismat acchi hoti hai. Look at Yash Chopra’. They gave instances of many more people. So, bald people have more money. Un paison ke laalach mein main ganja raha kaafi saal!”

Boney Kapoor shared an instance about how his life changed since the transplant, “3-4 months ago, I had travelled to the USA. The immigration officer there would look at the photo on the visa and then look at you, to make sure it's the same person. The officer kept looking at me and my picture. He felt that passport mein jiski picture hai, yeh woh aadmi hai nahin! I told him, ‘Aadmi wohi hai’ and that I underwent a hair transplant. He laughed and remarked, ‘Very good job done’!”

Also present at the event were Dr Pradeep Sethi and Dr Arika Bansal of Eugenix Hair Sciences.
