Rakul Preet Singh, one of the most talented actresses in the entertainment industry, has consistently won hearts with her stellar performances in Bollywood and South Indian cinema. This year, she impressed audiences with her roles in the Tamil films Ayalaan and Indian 2. In a recent interview, Rakul spoke about what she is looking forward to this year and expressed her excitement for the same, asserting that she has a lineup of promising projects for 2025.
Speaking about her releases this year, Rakul Preet Singh said, “I have been a part of showbiz for over 10 years. You can't constantly think about validating yourself by doing cinema across boundaries. Mostly, I pick up a film because of the script or role, but at other times, I sign a movie because I want to work with a certain filmmaker or an actor: I did Indian 2 because I wanted to work with S Shankar sir and Kamal Haasan sir.”
The actress teased fans about her exciting roles in 2025 saying, “People didn't see me in Hindi films this year, but that changes in 2025. I am excited that they will see me in varied, exciting roles."
For the unversed, Rakul has already shared a sneak peek of some of her films that fans will get to see her in this year. Among that is the much-awaited sequel De De Pyaar De 2, in which she plays the role of Ayesha Khurana and it will feature her opposite Ajay Devgn, with R. Madhavan joining the cast. He is reportedly playing her father. Additionally, she stars in Mere Husband Ki Biwi alongside Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, where she will also share the screen with veteran actress Neena Gupta.
