Farah Khan tells Khushi Kapoor about Boney Kapoor's unforgettable Pukar shoot: "Your father was using helicopters like rickshaws"

Farah Khan reminisced about working with Boney Kapoor while filming Pukar, starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. She revealed that Boney went all out by hiring multiple helicopters to transport the crew to a remote location in Alaska for a song shoot. Sharing the story with his daughter, Khushi Kapoor, on her YouTube vlog, Farah praised Boney’s generosity as a producer.

Farah Khan humorously recalled, “So your father was using helicopters like rickshaws.” She added that when director Rajkumar Santoshi expressed a craving for Indian food in Alaska, Boney Kapoor went the extra mile to find an Indian cook in the remote location, ensuring the entire crew enjoyed a proper feast.

She elaborated, “We were in a remote corner of Alaska, which is like the North Pole, and Boney laid out a spread of butter chicken, naan, biryani, paneer and dal makhani. I was like ‘What is happening!’ He found some Indian cook and ferried everything there. Chopper was being used like Dunzo for delivery.”

Farah Khan also mentioned that her husband, Shirish Kunder, has always praised Boney Kapoor when they worked together. “My husband has edited some movies for your dad and he would tell me that I have not seen any other producer like Boney. Because if it is not looking good, he doesn’t think twice. He will call the director and he will say just reshoot it all over again and just make sure that it looks good. Others will say ‘anything goes’ but Boney will say ‘no, shoot it again’, even though he would go in a loss,” she shared.

Boney Kapoor is now focused on his next project, No Entry 2, one of the most awaited films. The sequel has been making headlines due to its casting. While the original No Entry featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly, the sequel will star Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor. The female cast has not been announced yet.
