Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been embracing parenthood after welcoming their daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal, in July 2024. In a recent interview, Richa emphasized the importance of having a partner's support at home during the early stages of raising a newborn.
In an interview with Faye D’Souza on her YouTube channel, Richa Chadha revealed that Ali Fazal had requested paternity leave after the birth of their daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal, but it was denied. She shared that it was a miracle his shoot got postponed, allowing him to spend time with their newborn.
Richa Chadha shared, “Ali asked for paternity leave after we had our baby, and he did not really get it. Everyone was like, ‘Haha, really you want? Okay, one two weeks is fine.’ It was a miracle his shoot got pushed for some other reason, but he was able to be with me, and I can’t explain how terrifying it can be for a new person.”
Richa Chadha further stated, “You are dealing with all kinds of emotions, there is no sleep, all kinds of aches and pain and so much brain fog… It is so helpful to have a partner around you. Not everyone can afford amazing childcare in our country.”
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's love story began on the sets of Fukrey. The couple announced their wedding in September 2022 and tied the knot on October 4, 2022, in a beautiful ceremony in Lucknow. Their union has been celebrated as one of Bollywood's most cherished relationships.
In 2024, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal shared a heartwarming glimpse of their daughter on Instagram with a joint post. They captioned it, “Doing a collab post to announce the biggest collab of our lives!! We’ve been blessed indeed. Our baby girl continues to keep us very, very busy. So Thank you all for your love and blessings.”
