Bollywood actor Esha Deol turned heads on social media by extending a warm birthday wish to her ex-husband Bharat Takhtani, giving fans a glimpse into their amicable relationship post-divorce. Esha shared a happy picture of Bharat on her Instagram Stories with the heartfelt caption: “Happy Birthday Dada to my babies.... Stay happy, healthy and blessed,” garnished with emoji-filled affection.
Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani parted ways in February 2024 after 12 years of marriage, issuing a joint statement emphasizing that their children’s welfare would remain their utmost priority. The couple are parents to two daughters, Radhya (born 2017) and Miraya (born 2019). Since their separation, both Esha and Bharat have prioritized co-parenting, often being spotted together at family gatherings and weekend lunches, presenting a united front for their daughters.
Esha has publicly spoken about the need for divorced parents to maintain unity for their children, even when the marital relationship ends. "When kids are involved, it is important to let your ego aside and have the threshold. At the end of the day, we are parents to these beautiful kids. Let's give them the best, and that's when I think, when you decide to do that, when you are like that, the other person... he or she has to melt, if it's possible. And you change the roles. And you co-parent," Esha advised in an interview with The Quint.
She further added, “For your kids, you have to be a unit. That unit can't break. Maybe the other unit has broken but for your kids, be that one unit... Keep trying. Don't give up on that.”
