At the trailer launch of Tere Ishk Mein, Kriti Sanon offered a deeper look into her character, Mukti, describing the emotional and philosophical layers that shaped her performance. Speaking about her connection to the role, the actor shared that while Mukti’s choices differ from her own, certain qualities resonated with her on a personal level.
“There are some things that did connect though a lot of things does that Mukti does I wouldn't do but I think in the beginning There is a certain purity you know, she's almost naive. Where she believes in good, she believes in the good in people. That sometimes other people can't even see toh woh jab bolti hai ki main tumhe acha non-violent insaan bana sakti hu Woh actually believe karti hai ki duniya change ho sakti hai log change kiye ja sakte hai Aur sab main koi na koi achayi hai (Whne she says that I can make you a non-violent person, she actually believes that the world can change. And that there is goodness in everyone). So I think that part is somewhere connected with,” she said, highlighting the innocence and optimism that define Mukti.
Kriti’s performance, as hinted through the trailer, appears to draw from these emotional subtleties, shaping a character rooted in hope, compassion and a belief in personal transformation.
Marking her first collaboration with Dhanush, the latter was all praises for the actress and opened up about the kind of energy they shared during its filming. He said, “And I really do feel like we've made a beautiful film and I had such a beautiful talented and focused co-star. It was so beautiful creating it together. Shankar and Mukti, we created both of them together I feel and it was such a beautiful experience doing that.”
The event further highlighted the compelling dynamic between the two leads, whose synergy—both emotional and creative—appears central to the storytelling. With its intriguing premise and strong character-driven narrative, Tere Ishk Mein promises a blend of heartfelt moments, intense chemistry and a story that resonates with themes of change, belief and human connection.
