Riddhima Kapoor Sahni recently shared a deeply unsettling mid-air experience she had with her daughter, Samara, during a recent flight, describing a moment that left them both shaken. The incident, she revealed on her Instagram Stories, occurred just as their plane seemed to be touching down only for it to suddenly climb back into the sky.
In her recount, she wrote, “Today, my daughter and I experienced a moment I'll never forget. Our plane touched down and then suddenly lifted back into the sky. For those few seconds, both of our hearts stopped. I held her hand so tightly as she looked at me with fear in her eyes, and all I could do was stay strong for her while silently trying to steady my own breath.”
Riddhima called the episode “deeply traumatising,” but was quick to reassure that she and Samara are safe. “We were traumatised for a moment, but we're safe and that's all that truly matters. Experiences like this shake you, but they also remind you how fragile and precious life is.”
In her debut film, Riddhima will be sharing the screen with her mother, Neetu. She says her family is extremely excited and supportive of her stepping into feature films. “They are so excited. I keep sending them snippets from the scenes, and yes, they’re fully supportive. The best part is that mom and I live together, so we rehearse our lines every day. Samara (my daughter) will visit me once her school closes for summer break,” Riddhima told HT. Kapil Sharma will also appear in the film, which is tentatively titled Dadi Ki Shaadi. Other details about the project are still under wraps.
