A Celebration of India’s Evolving Pop Sound

Over the past few years, I-Pop (Indian Pop) has emerged as one of the fastest-growing genres on Spotify, bridging languages and regional sounds. Several I-Pop tracks regularly feature on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs India chart, with Aditya Rikhari’s “Sahiba” currently holding the top position. Out of the top 20 songs in India, 12 belong to I-Pop artists—showcasing the genre’s expanding fan base.

Spotify’s flagship playlist I-Pop Icons, launched in August 2024, has already amassed over 428,000 followers. Alongside it, playlists like I-Pop Rising, I-Pop Mohabbat, I-Pop Chill, I-Pop Sad Feels, and I-Pop Party cater to different moods and moments. The dedicated hub Home of I-Pop serves as a one-stop destination for fans to explore this evolving musical landscape.
