Directed by Avinash Arun and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam follows the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks trial through the perspective of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, portrayed by Rajkummar Rao. Lalit plays Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured alive during the attacks.
Lalit’s portrayal has drawn attention for its depiction of Kasab during the courtroom proceedings, including the character’s demeanour and confession sequence. Real-life prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam has also praised the actor’s performance, recalling a line in the film that echoed something Kasab had said during the actual trial.
